DIY Menu Board: DIY Jahn Featured in a Magazine!

DIY Jahn was recently featured in a magazine!

A few weeks ago I was contacted to do some writing for a green magazine – an eco-friendly online magazine designed for university students. The hope was to create an article with a DIY craft that could help students who are on a low budget become more environmentally friendly.

After talking with Atishi Ahluwalia, the Design Editor / Promotion Manager of Green Paper Leaf, I decided to write my article on how to create your own DIY Menu Board.

The menu board offers students (or anyone) with the chance to create a meal plan easily each week. With a place for differing meal ideas, slots for each day of the week, and a fun way to keep track of your shopping list: the menu board is a great way to go!

Utilizing a meal plan can help you to significantly decrease the amount of food waste your house incurs. By decreasing food waste, you are helping both your budget and the environment!

If you guys want to learn how to make a DIY menu board, you can do so by visiting the article in the Green Paper Leaf online magazine. Just use the link or photo below.

You can find the article by visiting the Green Paper Leaf magazine here (HERE).

We are so grateful to have the opportunity to contribute to this magazine and so excited at the opportunities to come in the future.

Working with Atishi was fun and exciting for me and the process was simple. After the article was published, Atishi let me know that they “had a promotion party and have already got students to circulate it. We also did your DIY project at the party…[and] everyone was loving their menus.”

Hooray! What a fun magazine to work with. I can’t wait to work with them again in the future.

  1. I present to a group of neighbors about how I am doing compost on the balcony. They said they are inspired and they will try. I think this is my best action I ever done for ecology: to promote a small solution to a smart future.

    1. That’s so great – it makes a big difference too, that’s for sure! I’d love to hear about how you’re doing compost on your balcony too if you ever want to share. Thank you for your comment! 🙂
